The next Russia and European Union Summit is scheduled to take place in Moscow this May, said Premier Mikhail Fradkov in a briefing yesterday. He said the summit would be at the highest level. Furthermore, Russia and the EU agreed to cooperate in the four areas of economics, internal and external security, science, education and culture. 'After finding a compromise on the question of EU expansion, we can agree on preparing joint plans for developing cooperation in these four important areas so that by the end of the year we can begin a new level of relations with the EU,' said Fradkov.
