Russian and Foreign Oil and Gas Producers to Gather in Ufa on May 20-23 - 1 April, 2003 - News

The fourth congress of oil and gas producers in Russia and the eleventh international exhibition Gas and Oil 2003 will take place in Ufa on May 20-23. As a Rosbalt correspondent was told by the bashkirian government press office, the exhibition will be held at the Ufa sports complex.

According to the organising committee, almost USD 100 thousand has been spent on preparation and organisation of the event. This is the largest industrial exhibition in Russia and the exhibits are expected to cover an area of five thousand square metres, including both the large and small arenas of the complex as well as the foyer. The exhibition will be divided into eight sections and the plenary session of the congress of oil and gas producers in Russia will take place on April 22.

The annual international exhibition Gas and Oil 2003 is traditionally held in Ufa. More than 350 enterprises from the Russian energy sphere participated in the jubilee exhibition last year. The congress of oil and gas producers takes place twice a year. It was last held in Ufa in 2001.
