Consumer prices did not change for September 1-9, 2002 in Russia, theRussian State Statistics Committee reported. The average daily increase inconsumer prices for September1-9 was 0.0 percent (0.02 percent in September2001), while in August 2002 this figure was 0.003 percent. As it wasreported earlier, the inflation rate was 0.1 percent in August 2002, whilein January-August 2002 it was 9.9 percent. The Russian government'sforecast for the inflation rate in 2002 is 14 percent. .
