The Bank of Russia is issuing precious-metal commemorative coins from the Zodiacal Signs series with the sign of the Sagittarius, reported the Bank's Department of External and Public Relations.
The coins issued are a 2-ruble denominated silver one (15.55 g fineness, 925 silver standard) and 25-ruble denominated gold one (3.11 g fineness, 999 gold standard). The coins reach 33 mm and 16 mm in diameter, respectively.
The back of each coin shows an embossed picture of a centaur with a bow and arrow against a background of stars, with the sign of the Sagittarius on the right.
The Bank issues up to 200,000 2-ruble silver coins and up to 50,000 25-ruble gold coins.
The coins issued are legal tender and are subject to acceptance for their nominal value everywhere without exceptions.
