Russian exposition at the airshow in Berlin was the most representative

The leaders of the Russian delegation to the traditional international airshow ILA-2002 in Berlin, which closes on Sunday, positively assessed the participation of representatives of the Russian defense sector in it. The members of the delegation held over 70 talks in Berlin, including with the leaders of the European aerospace concern EADC, as well as the well-known Israeli and South-African firms and the German defense ministry, noted Alexander Denisov, deputy chairman of the Russian committee on military-technological cooperation. "The Russian exposition at the airshow in Berlin was the most representative, which caused a highly positive response in Germany," said Alexei Aleshin, deputy general director of the federal state unitary enterprise Rosoboronexport. FRG Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder visited the Russian exposition. He also spoke highly of the Russians' participation in the airshow in Berlin. The flow of visitors on Sunday is large as never. People have been standing in line in order to enter the exhibition since morning, because the organizers are thoroughly checking everyone while making them pass through the metal frame. Just like yesterday, the visitors are offered a vast program of demonstrative flights in the skies above the Berlin-Schonefeld airport. What is special about the Sunday airshow is a 20-minute demonstrative flight of Swiss pilots-acrobats who perform as part of the squadron "Swiss Patrol," consisting of six jet-propelled "tigers." Here are some of the results of the airshow. A record-high number of exponents - 1,067 from 40 countries took part it. About 250,000 professionals and aviation and cosmonautics lovers have already visited the airshow. Over 3,400 journalists from 70 countries are covering the work of the Berlin airshow these days.
