The supplies of engineering productsgained 28.2 percent.The share of foodstuffs and agricultural products was 26.7 percent against25.8 percent in the first half of 2001. The share of chemical productsamounted to 17.3 percent as compared to 20.7 percent the correspondingperiod of 2001. Foodstuffs imports grew by 26 percent against the first sixmonths of 2001. Imports of chemical products went up by 32 percent.The imports of fresh-frozen meat increased by 34.9 percent, butter -81percent, sunflower-seed oil - 49.9 percent, tinned meat - 68.9 percent,chocolate products - 2.9 percent, liquor and soft drinks - 27.3 percent,cotton fabrics - 14.1 percent, textile and knitted clothes - 2.4 times, tea- 16.7 percent and furniture - 55.7 percent. The imports of dried andevaporated milk declined by 3.9 times, poultry - 3.3 percent, white sugar -73.9 percent and medicines - 15 percent..
