Moscow Hosts International Congress Of Industrialists & Entrepreneurs

Geopolitical interests of Russia and most nations represented at the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs - I.C.I.E. - largely coincide, Arkady Volsky, president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs opined Friday. He was speaking to the assembly of the I.C.I.E. According to Volsky, these interests are founded on a potentially broad market, technological and consumption standards formed throughout years, and the existing technological infrastructure. He went on to say that production has been the major leverage of integration and noted the role of the energy and transport sectors. The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and its Ukrainian counterpart have been central to the quest for adequate energy solutions, Volsky said. He disclosed the bilateral meeting on December 22 between the two countries' vested interests, attended by presidents of Russia and Ukraine, provided the major impulse for implementation of energy projects. Another bilateral event attended by the two presidents is set to be organized in Kharkiv, Ukraine, next month. Volsky said the meeting's agenda is to feature issues of restoring economic ties, synchronizing the two countries' legislation, stepping up the work on the projects to revamp nuclear power industry and power grids, which are now under realization, as well as the creation of An-70 and An-140 aircraft.
