Construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline to start tomorrow

The real implementation of the project on constructing the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline will start on January 14, 2003, the Trend news agency quoted Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze as saying in a traditional radio interview today. According to the Georgian leader, this day a British vessel with pipes and equipment necessary for the construction of the oil pipeline is to arrive in the Poti port. Similar cargo is also to start arriving in the Batumi port at the end of the week, Shevardnadze declared.
