Anti-Monopoly Ministry urges large businesses to help small businesses

At the beginning of the 1990s conditions for the development of small businesses were more favorable than they are at present, Deputy Anti-Monopoly Minister Andrey Tsyganov voiced his opinion at the first meeting of the council for small and medium-sized businesses created under the Federation Council. The deputy minister believes that its creation is a timely and important step. The minister also expressed hope that large businesses would render assistance to small business, because government support was not just enough.

According to Tsyganov, the main problems for small businesses are administrative barriers and limited access to financial resources. It is necessary to develop mechanisms of financial support of small businesses, he stressed.
