Dollar rate drops at UTS

The average-weighted dollar exchange rate amounted to 31.64 RUR/USD at thebeginning of today's morning session, which was RUR0.01 lower than theprevious rate.At the same time the situation with ruble resources of commercial banks hasremained favorable, so currently there are no factors for a decrease in theUS currency's rate. Ruble credit rates are low. This morning the one-dayruble credit rate was from 3 to 4 percent, experts of commercial banksstress. Even taking into account the coming weekend, the ruble credit ratedoes not exceed 12 percent.Nevertheless, the situation that commercial banks will be afraid of apossible growth in ruble credit rates during today's session, should not beruled out. So they probably will not transfer large ruble resources forpurchasing dollars. This fact may be attributed to a slight decrease in thedollar exchange rate on the interbank market..
