Sberbank's stocks grow amid declining blue chips

Russian stocks are declining, but the trade activity is unprecedentedlylow. Within the first 1.5 hours of trade at the Russian Trading System(RTS) the trade volume reached only 3.7m. RAO UES of Russia's stocksaccount for a third of this figure. Only Russian Sberbank and NorilskNickel's shares are currently moving against the market. Sberbank's shareshave been growing for the second day in a row and already posted a 4.21percent gain, and this growth is probably due to some purchasing order. Onthe whole, Russian blue chips lost 2-3 percent in value, while the RTSindex dropped 0.98 percent to 341.1 points. Any noticeable evens areunlikely to take place on the market before 16:30 p.m., while after thattime the price dynamics will be shaped by the news pouring in from theoverseas markets..
