Chairman of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Company, VGTRK, Oleg Dobrodeyev and president of the Italian Radio and Television, RAI, Antonio Baldassarre signed a general agreement on cooperation on Friday.
The reached agreements are crucial for the Russian television, Dobrodeyev pointed out, when commenting on the signed document.
"The parties will enrich the existing experience of cooperation by joint production of documentary films and programmes," he said.
The RAI president also gave a high assessment of the signed frame agreement. During the coming weeks the parties will define a few directions of their cooperation.
At the first stage the cooperation will have four directions, exchange of television and radio products, joint production of television programmes of different genres, interaction and cooperation in educating professional staff, both technical and creative, as well as joint participation in international television and radio organizations, the Baldassarre said.
The agreement "continues the impulse the relations between the two countries received after the meeting of Italian and Russian leaders Silvio Berlusconi and Vladimir Putin," he emphasized. The fact that the Italian ambassador to Russia attended the signing of the agreement "testifies to the seriousness of these intentions", he believes.
