LUKoil's Subsidiary To Take Part In Tender For TV-6 License

After the liquidation of TV-6, not-for-profit pension fund LUKoil-Garant, which is a subsidiary of Russia's oil giant LUKoil, is going to take part in a tender for receiving a new license for broadcasting on TV-6's frequency. This information was announced by Leonid Fedun, chairman of the fund's board of directors, at a press conference in Moscow today. He noted chances are high that LUKoil-Garant will receive the license. Fedun announced that they consider the current TV-6 team, which is headed by Yevgeny Kiselyov, to be professional and they are going to propose this team to take part in the establishment of a new TV-6 channel. However, this partnership will become possible only in the event the TV channel is profitable and it receives investments, Fedun stressed.
