Another explosion happens at gas pipeline to Georgia

A second explosion has occurred at a gas pipeline between Mozdok and Tbilisi near the border checkpoint Verkhny Lars, the Russian Emergencies Ministry told RosBusinessConsulting. A fire started at the site of the incident. The flame is some 200m in height. According to the Emergencies Ministry, there have not been victims or injuries as a result of the incident. A wood of pines has been burnt around the site.

Currently specialists of the KavkazTransgaz and the Emergencies Ministry are working at the place of the incident. Gas supplies to the South Caucasus have been stopped.
