About 100 heads of US biggest private funds to arrive in Moscow

A large group of American investors that includes leaders of 80 biggest private pension funds and 20 US leading investment companies are to arrive in Moscow this week to meet Russian government officials and to examine investment opportunities in Russia. Washington's US-Russia Business Council that prepared the visit by the American delegation told RIA Novosti that the pension funds and investment companies which are to visit Moscow, control the total of 2 trillion US dollars. They intend to invest a part of the capital in the promising regions throughout the world. Russia was also included in the list of potential areas for investment after international experts noted that the Russian stock market was on the rise. The Council noted that this was the first time the representatives of the US biggest pension funds made such a visit to get to know Russia. The American delegation is now taking part in the Berlin international investment conference. The Pension-2000 American organization is the organizer of the conference. Since 1991 the organization has arranged meetings between the heads of US pension funds and foreign political and business leaders. On Wednesday, May 15th, the delegation is to arrive in Moscow. The investment conference will keep working in Russia on Thursday and Friday. The representatives of the Russian government and business leaders have been invited to attend the conference.
