A representative delegation of Egyptian businessmen is to arrive in Moscow Wednesday, May 15. This was disclosed by plenipotentiary minister for information issues of the Egyptian embassy in Moscow Magdy Deif. The visit will be held within the framework of developing Russian-Egyptian cooperation and implementation of the results of the official visit of Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak to Russia held April 26-28, he noted. The Egyptian businessmen will meet in Moscow with co-chairman of the Russian-Egyptian commission for trade and economic cooperation Ilya Yuzhanov and major Russian businessmen. The visit will be conducive to stepping up economic cooperation and creating a favourable climate for its further development, the Egyptian diplomat is confident. Representatives of Egyptian business circles will familiarise Russian businessmen with various aspects of the Egyptian economic operation, Magdy Deif said. In the course of the visit an agreement is expected to be reached on measures necessary for Egyptian goods' penetration to the Russian market. The Egyptian businessmen will stay in Russia until May 21. Along with Moscow they will visit St. Petersburg and a number of Russian regions.
The choice of the city of Helsinki is not incidental as the capital of Finland had hosted US-Soviet negotiations on the limitation of nuclear stockpiles in 1969
