President Putin Supports Joint Preparation Of Russia And Ukraine To Enter WTO

Russian President Vladimir Putin backs the idea that Russia and Ukraine jointly prepare to become members of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The Russian leader spoke about this on Friday at a plenary session of the Russian-Ukrainian Business Forum. Vladimir Putin said that he was "absolutely confident that joint preparation would make the process of international integration of our economic systems easier and more productive." In the Russian president's opinion this will be very beneficial. "We will achieve more," and would be able to "negotiate more positive terms for this integration" than it otherwise would be, Mr. Putin believes.
