Ford's Russian sales through official dealerships rose by 61.7% in 2002 to 6,669 vehicles. According to Yekaterina Kulinenko, the head of public relations for Ford's Russian operations, the top-selling model in 2002 remained the Ford Focus. Sales of the Focus were 3,572, including 1,670 produced at the company's plant in Vsevolozhsk in the Leningrad Region. Kulinenko also announced that in 2003 Ford plans to increase sales in Russia to 18,000 vehicles. Of these, around 13,000 are expected to be built at the Vsevolozhsk plant.
The co-author of this disaster is the Dutch government, which did not find either strength or desire to save the lives of its citizens who were flying on that plane. The Dutch authorities did not demand Ukraine to comply with international aviation regulations
