Ilya Yuzhanov, the Russian Minister for Anti-Monopoly Policy and Small Business Support, began a working tour of Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania yesterday. He will return to Russia on March 21, according to the ministry's press office. The visit is taking place in accordance with an interdepartmental agreement on competition policy between Russia and Finland, as well as invitations from the Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian Competition Councils. The planned meetings are intended to help create favourable conditions for strengthening intergovernmental economic ties and to assist the harmonisation of competition policy. They will also be aimed at establishing closer cooperation in developing the legal foundations of anti-monopoly regulations.
