The Batika brewery will begin the construction of a new factory in Khabarovsk in the near future, the press service of the Khabarovsk regional administration reported to RosBusinessConsulting. $50m will be invested in this project. The construction process will be completed at the end of 2002. The new factory will be producing about 15m decalitres of beer annually with a further increase to 30m. According to specialists, the volume of beer consumption reaches about 20m decalitres in the Far Eastern region annually. In addition, Baltika will be supplying its beer to North China.
