Russian Share Prices Experience Slight Growth

Today's trading on the Russian stock market opened with a slight rise in the majority of securities for the first time over the last several days. On September 16, most experts thought that a sharp decrease in prices initiated by a rapid growth was over and the market was entering a consolidation period. Technical correction on the world oil market had a positive impact on operators and most of share prices went up right after the opening today. The situation on the stock market will depend on whether nonresidents will continue purchasing Russian securities or not. If the demand for these securities resumes, high-liquidity shares may increase in prices. Otherwise, the RTS index will be fluctuating close to the 215-point level for a while.
