Vladimir Putin Urges Government And Gazprom To Treat Property Seriously

Vladimir Putin has called on the government and Gazprom "to take a serious view of property". The president was speaking on Tuesday at the opening of a conference on the development of the gas industry. "It is necessary to treat property seriously, for once you gape, you will have no Sibur nor other enterprises," the head of state said. According to Putin, "we need detailed programmes for the development of the gas industry, including a unified gas supply system for the country". A major priority in this field, the president believes, is building up capacities for the output of highly processed products. "In this respect the government and Gazprom should turn close attention to the gas chemical branch", the president underscored.
