Gazprom To Earn 14.5 Billion Dollars From 2001 Gas Exports

The earnings of the OAO Gazprom company from the export of gas this year will constitute 14.5 billion dollars, Gazprom board chairman Alexei Miller told journalists on Wednesday. The company's net profit on the 2001 results will come up to 100 billion roubles (approximately 3.5 billion dollars). As regards the gas export volumes, they will be somewhat below the 2000 level, said Miller. Last year Gazprom exported 129 billion cubic meters of gas. The 2001 slide is due to the weather, or actually the warm weather in Europe, specified Miller.
