The international energy award will do for the progressive development of the energy industry and search for "beautiful and unusual solutions." Chief Executive Officer of YUKOS Mikhail Khodorkovsky declared this, while commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin's welcome speech, regarding the establishment of the Global Energy international energy award today.
According to Khodorkovsky, the award's prize money is unlimited, as it depends not on private contributions, but on voluntary endowments of major Russian energy grids.
"The future depends on economic stability. And our energy well-being - both of Russia and the world in general - is an inalienable part of this stability," the official stressed.
