South Korean goods exhibited in Siberia

On Tuesday an exhibition of South Korean goods opened in the pavilion of the Siberian Fair exhibition centre.

It will last till July 25th, said the Fair's press centre. It is the first South Korean exhibition of this scale in Siberia. 41 companies, including "Hyundai Motors" and "Samsung Electronics" are taking part in it. More than 200 types of goods are exhibited.

The opening ceremony involved members of the South Korean delegation - representatives of government structures, the National congress of Korea, and state institutions, as well as officials from Novosibirsk and the region - governor Viktor Tolokonsky, mayor Vladimir Gorodetsky, and representatives of the West Siberian railway.

Business meetings will be affiliated to the exhibition. On Tuesday there a round table will be held for Korean and Novosibirsk businessmen.

The exhibition has received official support from a number of South Korean ministries and departments, from the Russian foreign and railway ministries, the administration of the Siberian federal district, Novosibirsk and the region, and from the Novosibirsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The exhibition is organized within the framework of the Russian-Korean Friendship express - a number of arrangements, devoted to the 12th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and South Korea, that are to be held in 7 large Russian cities on July 14th-30th.
