US and Russian IT companies ready for cooperation

The first round table meeting of heads of the largest Russian and US IT companies took place today. The meeting, which was held within the framework of the Russian-US summit, was devoted to cooperation in the sphere of information technologies between the two countries. The representatives of Russian IT companies and the US Chamber of Commerce in Russia with the participation of the Russian Communication Ministry and the US Commerce Department discussed questions concerning new conditions of development of the US-Russian trade and cooperation and investments in the IT sector.

The progress in the development of relations between Russian and US IT companies will promote investment activity in the Russian economy, Russian Communication Minister Leonid Reiman declared at the meeting. According to him, the parties will continue negotiations and will elaborate on actions aimed at eliminating barriers in business between Russia and the USA.
