Gazprom posts revenue figures

The volume of Gazprom revenues will amount to $12.8bn in 2002 and it is expected to advance to $13bn-13.5bn in 2003, Yury Komarov, the Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Executive Board, declared at a briefing today.

According to him, among the most important projects are the signing of long-term contracts on supplying 100bn cubic meters of gas annually to Ukraine and contracts on storing gas in Ukrainian facilities. Moreover, an international consortium on privatizing the Ukrainian gas transportation system has been created.

Komarov also specified that the implementation of the West-East project aimed at gas supplies to the Chinese and Asia Pacific markets was at the final stage. The negotiation process will be finally completed at the beginning of 2003, he added. Moreover, the signing of the last documents concerning the North European Gas Pipeline is expected in the near future.
