A commission for regional policy has been created within the Gazprom gasholding. As the press service of the company reported today, Gazprom CEOAlexey Miller announced it at a board meeting today. Deputy CEO AlexanderRyazanov was appointed the head of the commission. The goals of thecommission are to preliminary discuss suggestions on working outcoordinated activities and on coordinating Gazprom's structures in theregions and republics of Russia, regulate property and tax relations, setgas limitations, capital investments for gasification and construction ofsocial facilities, and finance sponsorship and charity programs.As Miller pointed out, "Gazprom's subsidiaries work in 71 regions. Themajority of the companies were created as independent ones. At the sametime, it requires constant attention of the headquarters, coordination andcohesiveness of our activities, because our work has a great impact on thesocial and economic situation in the regions and republics of Russia", theCEO stressed..
