Domodedovo airport boosts volume of passengers

The number of passengers going to the Domodedovo airport (Moscow) increasedby 69 percent in the first seven months of 2002 as compared to thecorresponding period of 2001, and reached 3.331 million people. As thepress service of the East Line group, a managing company of the airport,reported, the volume of passengers of international flights gained 144percent and was 1.395 million people in the reporting period. The increasein passenger volume at national flights was 40 percent. For example, thisJuly, the airport serviced 820,000 passengers, which was 81 percent morethan in July 2001. This July, the airport reached the level of 1993.Domodedovo's cargo flow went up by 40 percent in the first seven months of2002 and reached about 105,000 tons..
