The participation of Russia's No. 2 oil company YUKOS in the construction of the Western Siberia-Murmansk oil pipeline will not hamper its oil supplies to China, YUKOS Chief Executive Officer Mikhail Khodorkovsky told journalists today. He explained that YUKOS would guarantee oil supplies to China and increase the volume of oil transportation via the Western Siberia-Murmansk pipeline.
According to earlier reports, YUKOS is going to construct an oil pipeline to China with a capacity of 30m tons. It will connect oil deposits in the east of Russia and in the north-west of China.
