The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development favors laws on securities markets passed by the CIS countries. EBRD officials wrote this in a press release. This law will be used by legislative institutions of the CIS to pass laws on capital markets. According to the Consultant General of the bank, this law is an important step forward in the process of harmonizing laws devoted to commercial activities of former Soviet republics and will help to protect investors willing to invest in the economy of the CIS countries.
