RIA Novosti, jointly with Russia's Property Ministry, has started implementing an exclusive project. Placed on its Internet site are detailed lists in English of public companies (OAOs) and federal state unitary enterprises (FGUPs), which are earmarked for privatisation in 2003 by a Russian government decision.
The list includes 628 OAOs and 435 FGUPs and is supplemented with concrete information on the enterprises concerned (the size of authorised capital, balance-sheet data, financial statements, grounds for sale, etc.) Missing information on some of the enterprises will be supplied as it becomes available.
The information is given on the agency's site http://en.rian.ru/rian.index.cfmprd_id=90 in a reference book, "PRIVATISATION in Russia -- 2003: A List of Enterprises".
A list in Russian will be displayed not later than December 15, on the site www.rian.ru, under the "reference books" heading.
For information on subscription please call on 201-45-92, 201-71-37, and 201-47-28 and via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com.
