Following Russian-Hungarian parliamentary talks, Duma Speaker Gennady Seleznyov and National Assembly head Janos Ader appeared before newsmen to declare themselves in favour of wider inter-parliamentary contacts between the two countries. Referring to the Russian MPs' official visit to Hungary, Ader said that it is the first meeting on the parliamentary level since 1996.
