The Federal Chamber of Lawyers was set up in Russia to assist the observation and protection of rights and liberties of citizens. The all-Russia lawyers' congress, which closed on Saturday night, adopted the regulations of the chamber and elected its heads. Chairman of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Lawyers Vladimir Semenyako was elected president of the new organisation.
