Vladimir Putin spoke highly of cooperation between Russia and China in the spheres of energy, high technologies and transport.
Speaking at Beijing State University, the Russian president noted that "we have already approved quite a few of interesting programmes". He also stressed that "these projects not only tangibly benefit both sides and create new jobs". "In essence, they modify the whole configuration of the economic infrastructure of Eurasia," the Russian head of state said and noted that it was "our common contribution to the development of the world integration processes".
Vladimir Putin pointed to the new opportunities which scientific and technical cooperation opens up before the two countries. Joint Russian-Chinese developments in the sphere of high technologies have a great future, the president said, and "with the proper government support they can very well assume a befitting position in international markets."
