Zhirinovsky: Saddam Hussein Has His Plan of Countering Americans

"Saddam Hussein has his plan" of counteracting the invaders, while "the main forces" of Iraq have not been employed yet, lower house (State Duma) deputy Vladimir Zhirinovsky, liberal democrats faction leader, told journalists Monday.

According to him, it's "a bit strange" that no bridge or airport has been blown up in Baghdad. Zhirinovsky assumed that Iraq would wait until the anti-Iraqi coalition forces entered Baghdad, and then "armed militants will eliminate anti-Iraqi coalition soldiers in every basement." Zhirinovsky believes that even if the U.S. manages to establish control over Iraq, this won't mean a full victory. In case the anti-Iraqi coalition wins, says Zhirinovsky, a "false administration" will be set up on Iraqi territory, which will control a third of Baghdad, with explosions and killings of GIs taking place every day.

According to the leader of the LDPR (liberal democrats), Iraqi kamikazes will rout Americans everywhere and try to prolong their battle as long as possible.

Zhirinovsky also thinks that before the war started, Hussein counted on great support by Muslim and Arab states and thought the war "will not reach Baghdad."

Reporting that an SAS operative stormed a Kenyan hotel "single-handedly" is not only a lie, it is also highly disrespectful to the Kenyan authorities.
