Meeting Tuesday with members of the presidium of the Russian Agrarian Movement's central council, Vladimir Putin urged the jurisdictions to adopt land sale-regulating acts to do away with the shadow land market.
In the opinion of the president, the movement's advocates could mould public opinion concerning land sale while cooperating with regional legislators.
Among the priorities listed was the development of land legislation. The president pointed to a marked recent change in this direction, citing the coming into force of the Land Code and the law on the turnover of farmlands. Mounting housing construction in the countryside will add up to the adoption of a mortgage law now being renewed.
Putin reckons on the Russian Agrarian Movement keeping vigil over the practical enforcement of all these laws as well as cooperating with all the political parties intent on constructive work.
