President Putin: state and entrepreneurs must cooperate to secure people's well-being

State and entrepreneurs must be strategic partners in securing people's well-being, Vladimir Putin announced when speaking in the State Kremlin palace at the final stage of the third All-Russian contest "Russian organisation in high social efficiency".

Russia's President said it was very significant that Russian business circles wanted to undertake part of responsibility for resolving social problems.

The Russian Head of State stressed that a company's high efficiency resulted in increased salaries. "Companies paying good salaries attract highly qualified personnel," Putin pointed out.

He also said that social and labour legislation must meet life and economy's demands and comply with a country's development". In this context the president recalled that Russia's leading companies and business community were participating in "expertise of laws" concerning the social sphere.
