A further connivance of Georgian authorities to gunmen is unacceptable,Valery Vorotnikov, deputy head of the State Duma committee on legislation,said in an interview with RosBusinessConsulting commenting on the RussianPresident's statement concerning a possible antiterrorist militaryoperation in Georgia. According to Vorotnikov, "Georgia should think" aboutits further policy towards terrorists located within its territory.The deputy is sure that, in the event Russia starts such operation,Russia's weight on the international scene will not be affected, ascurrently "all actions aimed at struggling against international terrorismare a priority". He also noted that Russia had enough financial resourcesto conduct an antiterrorist operation.
