Vladimir Putin congratulated North Ossetia's people and leadership on Republic's Day

President of Russia Vladimir Putin has congratulated North Ossetia-Alania's President Alexander Dzasokhov and all North Ossetian people on the Republic's Day.

A representative of the RF President's press service told RIA Novosti that, among other things, Vladimir Putin in his greeting telegram pointed out that "the Republic is marking its main holiday in difficult conditions" caused by the recent disastrous flood.

"Together with your neighbours, you are working hard to repair the damage done by the ruinous natural disaster. I am certain that through a concerted effort the federal and regional authorities will succeed in restoring the demolished houses as well as the social and economic infrastructure of the entire area, thus bringing people's life back to norm," stressed Vladimir Putin.

President of Russia wished the people of North Ossetia peace, stability and prosperity.

On December 10, 1948 the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, its thirty articles enshrining basic and fundamental rights guaranteeing dignity of the human person and equality for all, regardless of race, color, creed or gender. A pipe dream?
