Speaker Of Parliament Welcomes First Results Of Current Talks Between Presidents Of USA And Russia

Chairman of the Federation Council (parliament's upper chamber) Yegor Stroyev has highly appraised the first results of the current talks between the presidents of the USA and Russia. The speaker said this to journalists on Wednesday before the beginning of a meeting of the Federation Council. "A serious step on the way of understanding of the problems facing not only the two countries but also all other states has been taken", Stroyev emphasized. According to him, the presidents have outstripped many officials who still "adhere to the cold war idea". "The thawing of ice in relations between our countries began yesterday and, God willing, it will continue", Yegor Stroyev added.
