The Council of CIS Heads of State will meet in Moscow on November 30 to discuss the situation in the world and on the southern borders of the Commonwealth in the wake of the anti-terror operation in Afghanistan. The Council's session will be timed to the 10th anniversary of the Commonwealth. The leaders were initially scheduled to sum up the development of their states. However, in the aftermath of the events in Afghanistan and the Caucasus, the agenda of the jubilee summit will undergo changes, observers believe. The CIS heads are expected to discuss in particular the situation in the Caucasus following the Georgian-Abkhazian flare-up.
