Vladimir Putin to Meet EC Chairman Romano Prodi to Discuss Preparations for Russia-EU Summit and Iraq Crisis

Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet Chairman of the European Commission Romano Prodi in Moscow today. As the president's press office announced, Mr Prodi is arriving in Moscow today on a short official visit. Mr Putin and Mr Prodi will discuss relations between Russia and the EU as well as preparations for the upcoming Russia-EU summit in Saint Petersburg. Furthermore, Mr Prodi will tell Mr Putin about the results of the special EU summit and EU leaders' assessment of the situation in Iraq.
