President Putin Relates History of Assumption Cathedral to King of Spain

Today, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, and Juan Carlos I, the King of Spain, walked together around the Kremlin's Cathedral Square. The King liked the Cathedral of Assumption and the President told him about its history and that of the square.

According to the President's press service, after the walk, Mr. Putin and Juan Carlos I returned indoors where they continued their conversation.

The President of the Russian Federation said, 'This visit of the King of Spain illustrates once again the now achieved level of relations between our two countries'. He reminded of that seven intergovernmental and five ministerial Russo-Spanish agreements had been signed lately. The President intends 'to discuss with the King the bilateral relations and some international issues of mutual interest'.
