Putin to eliminate misbalance in aid to regions

Federal programs for aiding the regions of Russia will be graduallyleveled, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at a meeting devoted tothe social and economic development of the Far East of Russia which hadtaken place in Vladivostok. The Russian President believes that the reasonfor the misbalance when some regions receive more resources than others, isthe inefficiency of the policy, the major motto of which was 'get as muchindependence as you wish'.Putin also pointed to the fact that over a year ago, the regions andrepublics of Russia had been brought back under the regulation of legalinstruments of the Russian Federation. "In fact, these regions were notregions and republics of Russia, and we had no unified country", Putinsaid..
