President Vladimir Putin Sets Tasks To Interior Ministry

Vladimir Putin has set five key tasks to the Interior Ministry at an enlarged session of the Interior Ministry's board. The first task is "to provide security of personality and society," Vladimir Putin said. The second trend of the Interior Ministry's work is "the struggle against terrorism and extremism." According to Putin, the Interior Ministry should focus on its role in "the establishment of favourable business atmosphere in the country." It should prevent "administrative tyranny and dishonourable bureaucrats' and law enforcement bodies' officials' pressure on businessmen." The forth task is "to counter illegal drug trafficking." The nation's survival depends upon the struggle against drug trafficking, Putin stressed. The fifth trend is "the control over migration processes and prevention of illegal migration," the President said.
