Russia's Alleged Military Hardware Deliveries to Iraq are Not Confirmed

Russia's authorities have checked and not confirmed the US reports of Russian companies' alleged military supplies to Iraq in breach of UN sanctions, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said to the media.

He stated that this topic had been mulled since October 2002.

"Russian experts have checked the information provided by the USA and found no confirmation of it," the Minister stated.

Ivanov said that the Russian and US experts continued to consider the issue, but "there is still no evidence proving that Russia delivered military equipment to Iraq in breach of UN sanctions."
