Russia Intensifies Personnel Training To Staff Its Defense Industry

The Russian Cabinet has developed a plan to intensify training of personnel for the country's defense industry. According to this plan, as many as 5,000 specialists shall be turned out in 2002 to work in the field. Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has approved a related resolution, aimed at manning defense enterprises with highly qualified engineers and scientists, reports the government information board. The Cabinet has also adopted rules for the development of a state plan to train personnel for the defense industry through the year 2005.
