Vladimir Putin: Russia-U.S. interaction to be decisive in uprooting terrorism

Vladimir Putin hopes that interaction between Russia and the United States will make a decisive contribution to the uprooting of terrorism the world over. The Russian head of state said this at a meeting on Thursday with US President George W.Bush.

Russia welcomes the tough stance of the American president on the struggle against terrorism, stressed Putin.

In turn, George Bush noted the important contribution of the Russian president in combating international terror. Putin is a man who speaks little but does much, said George Bush.

He also called Vladimir Putin a brave fighter against terror. The Russian president has made a big personal contribution to the struggle against terror, said Bush. President Putin believes that the most important thing is the ensuring of peace, said the American president.

The Russian leader noted that, regrettably, terrorism is a global challenge. If we want the struggle against terrorism to be successful, we must pool our efforts, said the Russian president.
