Russia conducts salvo launch of two Bulava ICBMs from White Sea

Russia's nuclear-powered submarine Yury Dolgoruky conducted a salvo launch of two Bulava missiles from the White Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

On September 27, the  Yury Dolgoruky  strategic cruiser conducted an experimental salvo launch of two intercontinental ballistic missile Bulava. The launches were conducted from the area of the White Sea targeting the Kura test site on the Kamchatka Peninsula, officials at the ministry said.

The first missile has successfully struck targets on the site. The second Bulava was self-destructed after the first stage of the mission.

The previous salvo launch of two Bulava missiles was held in mid-November of last year. The missiles were fired from the Vladimir Monomakh nuclear submarine. The launch was then recognized as completely successful.
